BPO corridor in Quezon City

-

THE VICINITY of Roosevelt Station, the northern terminus of the Manila LRT line 1, and the area near train stops in Quezon City, will likely see more office space catering to the business process outsourcing industry (BPO) between now and 2022, according to Leechiu Property Consultants, Inc.

The property consultant is marketing 30 projects across Metro Manila and Cebu City covering a total of 764,000 square meters, according to a statement sent to the media last week.

One of those office spaces is the Jackman Plaza IT Center, which is located right in front of Roosevelt Station.

That project has over 5,000 square meters of office space.

“Not your usual office address, the building’s location has stirred the interest of respected industry players on expansion mode especially because it has a direct connection to the Roosevelt Station from its second floor,” read a statement that quoted Bobby P. Lee, associate director of Leechiu Property Consultants, as saying.

“Owing to its easy access to and from highly populated residential enclaves via multi-modal transport lines, EDSA in Quezon City is transforming into a favored BPO corridor,” the statement read.

Jackman Plaza is accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) which entitles locators to tax incentives.

“Jackman Plaza’s developers designed their six-story building to have an average floor plate of 2,000 sq.m.,” the statement read.

“Large floor plates allow BPO firms to maximize their floor area for production.”
