- Arra B. Francia

KMC Solutions launched on Thursday its 22nd flexible office space in the country, focusing on providing health and wellness amenities to its clients.

The company, which provides premium serviced offices and co-working spaces, formally opened its newest flexible workspace located at the fifth floor of the V Corporate Center along Leviste Street, Salcedo Village in Makati City.

The site is the company’s biggest with a total area of around 2,500 square meters. So far, around 60% of the site has already been booked by mostly information technology-business process outsourcing firms.

This is part of the company’s total portfolio of over 30,000 square meters with more than 6,000 work stations.

The latest venture features offices that can house a minimum of four people to more than 50, conference rooms, and a multi-function studio that currently functions as a yoga studio.

“We’re really focusing on community, on health and wellness... As time goes on more clients are focusing on health and wellness, like what can you offer. And employees are asking the same thing,” KMC Solutions Chairman and cofounder Gregory Kittelson said during the office’s formal opening on Thursday.

KMC Solutions Managing Director Michael McCollough, meanwhile, said the company does not follow the usual “two-month deposit” rule imposed by other leasing companies, since this strategy does not work with start-up firms. Instead, payment terms are similar to membership terms, where firms usually stay for a minimum of three months.

In its other sites spread out across Makati, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Ortigas, Pasay, and Cebu, the company currently houses a number of start-up companies that started in Silicon Valley, such as Uber and Airbnb. —
