FOURTEEN ALLEGED members of the Aegis Juris fraternity which has been linked to the death of a hazing victim have been subpoenaed to attend the continuing Senate probe which resumes Wednesday, Oct. 18.
Senator Panfilo M. Lacson, chairperson of the Senate committee on public order and dangerous drugs, subpoenaed the alleged fraternity members on Thursday, Oct. 12, and posted their names on his Twitter account on Sunday. They are as follows:

Mr. Trangia, who was previously reported fleeing the country, arrived on Oct. 10 from Taipei. He was the alleged driver of the vehicle that brought Horatio “Atio” T. Castillo III to the Chinese General Hospital where the hazing victim was later declared dead on arrival.
Mr. Castillo was rushed to the hospital on Sept. 17 after attending a welcoming ceremony of the Aegis Juris fraternity at the University of Sto. Tomas where he was studying law.
Mr. Lacson’s committee last conducted its joint inquiry with the Senate committee on justice and human rights on Sept. 25, with fraternity member and principal suspect John Paul Solano testifying in an executive session.
According to Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri, Mr. Solano provided pertinent details on the events of Sept. 17, including at least six personalities involved in that incident.
Mr. Zubiri had said that as soon as Mr. Solano releases his affidavit, the committees can divulge the information he shared with the senators. Mr. Solano, however, has yet to submit a sworn statement.
Thus on Wednesday, Oct. 11, the Senate issued Resolution 529 granting the chairmen of the joint hearing to divulge the information he has shared so far.
