KOTRA Manila holds CSR program in Rodriguez, Rizal
PROPER hygiene education among school-age children living in far flung areas is imperative for sustainability of good hygiene behaviors, according to Hoisook Kim of Woorikids, Inc., such that 70% of diseases and illness could be prevented if children would exercise hand hygiene. This has led the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Manila, Commercial Section, Embassy of Korea and Woorikids to initiate a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program in Rodriguez, Rizal to help children develop useful life skills on health and hygiene to control the spread of sanitation-related illnesses. The CSR program would help determine if children in a specific area are aware of the importance of handwashing and hygienic practices.
