PDIC to hold public biddings in Manila, Davao in February

THE PHILIPPINE Deposit Insurance Corp. (PDIC) will conduct three public biddings next month with P157 worth of real and other properties acquired (ROPA). In a statement, PDIC said the assets will be bid out on an “as-is, where-is” basis. The biddings in Metro Manila will be held as the PDIC training room in Makati City on Feb. 15 and 19. Up for disposal are 79 ROPA, 10 motor vehicles and two generator sets with an aggregate minimum price of P93.3 million.

DAVAO

In Davao City, the bidding is set on Feb. 29 at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas regional office. PDIC Vice-President for Corporate Affairs Group Jose G. Villaret, Jr., in an interview in Davao last Friday, said the ROPA, with a minimum disposal price of P63.9 million, consists of agricultur­al, commercial and residentia­l lots located in Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Bukidnon, Compostela Valley, Davao del Sur, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Oriental, North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Surigao del Norte. In 2017, PDIC said it conducted a total of seven public biddings and three biddings with the right of first refusal in Metro Manila, Cebu, Legazpi and Pampanga to dispose of corporate and various closed banks’ assets. The biddings sold a total of 83 properties and generated total sales of P259.16 million, representi­ng a premium of P58.08 million from the aggregate minimum disposal price of P201.08 million.
