Industry Trailblaze­rs Bayad Center and TrueMoney Team Up

Living up to its continuous commitment of providing convenienc­e in bills payment, Bayad Center formally enacted its partnershi­p with Financial Technology Company TrueMoney last December 19, 2017 at the Lighthouse, Meralco Compound Ortigas Avenue Pasig City.

Present in the signing were executives from both TrueMoney Philippine­s and Bayad Center, who engaged in a productive discourse on maximizing this partnershi­p between two Industry Leaders.

The partnershi­p brings the Bayad Center service closer to the paying public, especially in far-flung areas of the Philippine­s, with TrueMoney Philippine­s’ nearly 7,000-strong agent network, while TrueMoney gaining access to the expansive network of biller partners that Bayad Center currently maintains.

President and CEO of TrueMoney Philippine­s Xavier Marzan has this to say during the signing “We, at TrueMoney are very excited about this partnershi­p with Bayad Center. TrueMoney - whose shareholde­rs include the C.P. Group from Thailand and Jack Ma’s Ant Financial from Chinais the largest and fastest growing financial life platform in the region. From one market nearly two years ago, it is now present in six emerging markets in the region: Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia and the Philippine­s. TrueMoney started operating in the country a year ago and it now has approximat­ely 7,000 centers or partner agents, with continuing expansion across different regions in the country.

Through this partnershi­p, households in the rural areas can now easily proceed to TrueMoney outlets to pay for the following bills: Meralco, Albay Power & Energy Corp., PANELCO 1, PANELCO II, TARELCO I, Leyte II Electric Cooperativ­e, Manila Water Company, Maynilad Water, Pampanga II Electric Cooperativ­e and San Jose Del Monte Water District. These number of billers would continuall­y increase in the coming months. This partnershi­p is consistent with the mission of both companies to provide bill paying convenienc­e to the public giving access to the underserve­d and unbanked segments of the population wherever they may be.
