Maxicare partners with The Medical City

IN A BID to make health care more efficient, accessible, and cost- efficient to Filipinos, Maxicare, in partnershi­p with The Medical City ( TMC), recently launched a new full-risk, clinic-based health care plan dubbed as “TMC Partner Care.”

Jose Xavier Gonzales, TMC chief operating offi cer and head of Customer Engagement Group, believes that TMC Partner Care will widen the scope and opportunit­y for more Filipinos to avail of world- class medical services for only an annual benefi t limit of P 100,000.

The plan, which covers even the patient’s pre- existing conditions whether dreaded or non- dreaded, efficientl­y allows members to access all TMC hospitals and clinics and Maxicare Primary Care Centers nationwide — both considered as leaders in the medical services industry. Currently, TMC, a tertiary care hospital, has five hospitals, 41 clinics nationwide.

TMC Partner Care revolution­izes the way inpatient and outpatient services are rendered to patients by convenient­ly providing an option for homecare services, and also through the 24/ 7 TeleConsul­t Service, where a patient can have an unlimited consultati­on to an actual physician over the phone anytime of the day or week.

TMC Partner Care also offers “Riders” or additional benefit items at an added cost. This includes: Maternity Plan, Emergency Care Plan, Home Care Plan, and Emergency Care and Home Care Plan.

Sean Argos, Maxicare president and chief executive officer, said during a press conference, “We agree 100% in the vision that enables patients to get the care they need in a nonhospita­l way and even remotely via telemedici­ne.”

Mr. Argos emphasized that health care is not just about individual visits to the hospital or about single confinemen­ts. Rather, it is about how health care providers managing your health.

While Filipinos who have health care plans are mostly those who are employed, Mr. Argos said the plan is perfect for self- employed individual­s or those who want their other family members covered by a health plan. TMC Partner Care was also conceptual­ized for Filipinos who live abroad, especially the overseas Filipino workers who might want to comfortabl­y converse to a doctor in Filipino.

Currently, TMC Partner Care offers three membership types: Individual; Family (minimum of two enrollees that include one principal and one dependent); and Business (minimum of five principal enrollees). To avail the TMC Partner Care Card, visit TMC Maxicare office located in Pasig City.
