Whirlpool gives treats to orphaned children

-

THERE ARE children and babies who are left and abandoned for a variety of reasons. Some can be found loitering or living in the streets. Others may be brought by their own parents to orphanages due to the inability or sometimes, unwillingness to support them.

These children long for the love and care a family can give them, and Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home, Inc. is one of the organizations that aims to take care of them and provide for their needs.

Whirlpool, the leading appliance brand in the world, organized an outreach program for the orphaned children of Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home. Inc. in Pasig City as part of its corporate social responsibility efforts. Aside from donating washing machines and other essentials like milk and diapers, they also tried to bring delight to the children through a day filled with fun activities.

“At Whirlpool, we make home appliances with advanced technology to make life more convenient. And at the root of it is our desire to make the lives of every Filipino family more enjoyable. We try to improve their quality of life not only through our products, but also through community outreach programs such as this,” said Joy Catiis-Cruz, marketing manager of Whirlpool Philippines.

Sharing their generosity and support for this project are King Sue Ham & Sausages, Calla Detergent, Jolly Heart Mate Canola Oil, The Ad Creator, Fujidenzo Home and Commercial Appliances, Mimiflo, Hapee Kiddie Toothpaste, Hana Shampoo, Lewis & Pearl Scentshop, Green Cross, Farlin, Mediplast, and Tiny Buds Baby Naturals.

Should you wish to extend your assistance to this organization, you may visit them at 45 Dr. Pilapil Street, Bgy. Sagad, Pasig City, Metro Manila, or get in touch with Ms. Fatima C. Alehe, RSW, program manager at (02) 631-7188.
