FPLA presents lineup of Corporate Series workshops

-

FIRST Pacific Leadership Academy (FPLA), the country’s premier corporate university, “champions the holistic growth of leaders in the public and private sector through the seamless integration of excellent Leadership and Development programs with world-class facilities.”

FPLA offers programs directed at Executive Leadership and Management Development, Innovation, Human Resources and Organizational Development, which are combined with a range of skills development programs. These are carried out through active partnerships with respected local and international educational institutions, its HR and training networks, and its subject matter experts.

FPLA’s flagship program is called the Corporate Series. The series is designed for those in leadership and management positions or who possess the potential to take on greater roles. It features a succession of events and workshops that are based on industry best-practices, and developed in close cooperation with its faculty. After going through these classes, the participants’ organization will welcome back a stronger and more energetic leader, who can make an even greater impact on the company.

The courses run the gamut of challenges that a leader can encounter in the workplace.

The first class, scheduled for May 17-18, is called “Discipline of Personal Change.” FPLA considers it “a call to action for participants at any organizational level to be individual and collective contributors to a culture of organizational greatness.” Its activities are both introspective and active, with theories juxtaposed with the practical to provide a holistic perspective for work place situations. It also emphasizes “the value of discipline among people, thought, and action.”

“Execution Guaranteed,” scheduled for June 19 to 20, “emphasizes the importance of implementing plans and strategies. It focuses on three major areas that leaders must consider to successfully execute what has been formulated to deliver results.”

“Molding Commitments Among Leaders,” slated for Aug. 29 to 30, encourages managers and supervisors “to work with a greater sense of urgency and a desire to advance the transformation process of an organization.” Based on “The Leadership Challenge” by Kouzes and Posner, it shares five practices of exemplary leaders “as guides for rallying their organizations to achieving the extraordinary.”

In “Dealing with Uncertainty and Change,” set for Oct. 16 to 17, participants are presented with principles “that will empower them to lead organizations during tumultuous and rapidly-changing times. It highlights the significance of discipline and systematic action in promoting organizational stability.”
