Conrad Manila appoints new executive chef

CONRAD Manila announces the appointmen­t of Daniel Patterson as executive chef. Chef Daniel will be responsibl­e for the culinary operations of the hotel’s award-winning dining outlets: Brasserie on 3 and China Blue by Jereme Leung, C Lounge, Bru Coffee Bar, as well as its banqueting and catering services. He also oversees the hotel’s in-room dining and banquets and catering events including weddings and corporate events.

Laurent Boisdron, general manager of Conrad Manila, said, on Chef Daniel’s appointmen­t: “We are delighted to have Chef Daniel with us. His passion and enthusiasm in the kitchen and working with team members are essential in our commitment to provide guests with a new level of dining experience. Chef Daniel brings a dynamic, innovative energy to the dining experience at Conrad Manila.”

Hailing from Newmarket, United Kingdom, and proud alumna of Westminste­r University, Chef Daniel has over 20 years of profession­al cooking and kitchen management experience. He has consistent­ly worked in five-star properties and Michelin two- and three-star rated establishm­ents including: Chewton Glen Hotel (Hampshire, United Kingom) and Troisgos (Roanne, France).

Prior to his joining Conrad Manila, Chef Daniel spent years across Southeast Asia including tours in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and India, Europe and America. He also boasts of proper kitchen management training at the Culinary Institute of America.

He oversees Brasserie on 3, Conrad Manila’s premier all-day dining restaurant, that serves an extensive buffet selection at breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as an à la carte menu.
