Better Taxi Service is hirna!

After officially launching its operations in Davao City in April this year, leading taxi hailing app hirna is now expanding to other key cities such as Cagayan de Oro, Iligan, Bohol, Iloilo and Bacolod City. And more cities to follow in the coming weeks. This is in line with hirna’s mission of elevating the service level of taxis in the country by making it more reliable, safe and affordable (vs other ride hailing apps).

Hirna continues to be at the forefront of taxi hailing app innovation by coming up with four new features such as AUV taxi option, in- app messaging, fare estimate and push banners.

First is the option to choose an AUV taxi for commuters who prefer a vehicle that has a large luggage capacity. And even if AUVs are larger that sedan taxis, hirna will currently not charge any booking fee to encourage the passengers to use the app. That’s good news for all passengers since this means ZERO booking fee regardless of type of taxi that is opted for.

Second is the in- app messaging feature that allows both passenger and driver to message each other within the app. With a simple data connection, passengers no longer need to use and pay for SMS messaging. They can easily use the in- app messaging feature to communicate with the driver. Free and convenient way to reach out to the driver anytime!

The third latest feature is the fare estimate that shows the estimated fare coming from the passenger’s pick up point up to their destination. Now passengers can prepare their cash before even getting into the taxi! The estimate is based on LTFRB’s fare regulation (per kilometer and time) so it is very close to what the actual fare would be. Of course, the estimate may not reflect the exact fare reflected on the taxi meter due to changing traffic conditions and/or the route taken by the driver. Regardless, the fare estimate feature gives the passengers an idea of how much the actual fare may be and can prepare their cash accordingly. A really relevant feature that passengers have been asking for!

And lastly, hirna is launching a push banner feature which is a medium for the Hirna team to give the latest announcement and tips to both passengers and drivers. The hirna banner automatically pops up when the passengers or driver turns on the app. Be prepared for exciting promos and helpful tips showing up on the hirna app!
