PhilJets appoints new CEO to lead expansion
PHILJETS GROUP has appointed a new chief executive officer in the person of Willyn Villarica. Thierry Tea, founder of the company and outgoing CEO, will assume the role of chairman of the board. Established in 2013, PhilJets has experienced rapid growth for the last five years under the management of Mr. Tea, growing its fleet from 0 to 12 aircraft (nine helicopters and three business jets).
“I have been following the growth of PhilJets and there are great challenges facing us. I aim to continue to professionalize and strengthen the company, to bring in new ideas, develop practical solutions and develop our team.” Ms. Villarica said.
Ms. Villarica is an MBA graduate from the Asian Institute of Management and has background in real estate, law, gemology, food and beverage, microlending, private equity and venture capital. She has been the president of PhilJets Aero Services, Inc. for the past five years.

Mr. Tea will now oversee PhilJets’ expansion in Southeast Asia.
PhilJets hopes to enjoy continued growth by offering new services and innovative products, increasing its existing fleet, and expanding its operations by opening new branches in other parts of the country.
PhilJets is an aviation company that offers general aviation services, such as chartered flights, aerial tours, fleet management and aircraft sales. As part of its expansion plans in 2018, the company is venturing into partnerships to enter the maintenance, repair and overhaul sector, and set up new bases.
