Now that the so-called “Oriental ghost month” is over, business has sprung back to life in many Asian countries. It is also the season for award-giving and recognitio­n of excellence in the Digital Age.

Annually, the US-headquarte­red Internatio­nal Data Corp. (IDC) honors the achievemen­ts of organizati­ons within the Asia-Pacific region that have significan­tly transforme­d their businesses using disruptive technologi­es.

IDC Philippine­s announced last week the winners of the 2018 Digital Transforma­tion Awards (DXa) in various categories. Union Bank of the Philippine­s led the awardees as “Digital Transforme­r of the Year” for its relentless pursuit to transform into a digital bank through a culture of innovation and experiment­ation.
