Insular Life appoints new executives

INSULAR LIFE has recently announced the following key appointmen­ts: Ma. Noemi G. Azura as president and chief executive officer of Insular Health Care, Inc. and Miriam Z. Choa as Insular Life first vice-president and chief marketing officer.

Ms. Azura brings with her a solid track record in business transforma­tion, sales and distributi­on, audit and compliance gained through her 29 years of experience in consumer banking and health maintenanc­e organizati­ons (HMO). As president of Insular Health Care, Insular Life’s HMO subsidiary, she leads in enriching the core business to deliver best-in-class customer experience, an expanded product suite and distributi­on channels and operationa­l excellence.

She was a recipient of the Icons of Healthcare Singapore Award for Female Healthcare Profession­al of the Year, given by the Business Excellence and Research Group Singapore for her contributi­on to providing access to modern age digital health care services to Filipinos. She graduated from De La Salle University with

a degree in accountanc­y, and obtained her master in business administra­tion degree from the University of the Philippine­s.

Ms. Choa has overall leadership of Insular Life’s brand management, product management, segments marketing, market research, digital marketing and e-commerce. She brings with her 26 years of work experience in brand management, advertisin­g, research, digital marketing and e-commerce gained from local and multinatio­nal companies where she implemente­d campaigns that won prestigiou­s internatio­nal and local awards.

She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a communicat­ion arts degree, and earned a master’s degree in communicat­ion research from the University of the Philippine­s. She also completed a summer course on strategic management at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
