Now on its fourth year, will take its audience to a “Journey to the Kingdom of Books,” featuring an afternoon concert with the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of Herminigildo Ranera. The orchestra will perform a selection of popular classical masterpieces made for children’s ears including Mozart’s (Third Movement), Brahm’s and 6, Chabrier’s and other surprise numbers. One of the highlights will be the Sergei Prokofiev’s a “symphonic fairy tale for children” where the narrator tells a children’s story, while the orchestra illustrates it with different instruments, representing characters in the story. Pre-concert activities will include the musical instruments petting zoo at the Little Theater lobby with a mini-tutorial from members of PPO.
