Wilcon Depot wins ASEAN Business Awards for retail

Depot, the Philippines’ leading home improvement and construction supply retailer, won the 2018 ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) for Priority Integration Sector in Retail Category at the ABA gala dinner last Nov. 12 held at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore.

Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad handed over the award to Wilcon Founder and Chairman Emeritus William Belo, alongside Wilcon’s President and Chief Executive Officer Lorraine BeloCincochan, SEVP-Chief Operating Officer Rosemarie Ong, VP for Human Resources Grace Tiong, VP for Product Development Eden Godino, Investors Relations Officer Jean Alger, and AVP for Sales and Operations Ruben Flores, Ruel Godino, Francis Lazaro, Benly Chan, Rubylyn Candelaria, Desiree Cuerdo, and Catherine Guingab; and GoNegosyo’s Founder Joey Concepcion and wife Marissa Concepcion, who witnessed the bestowment of the award.

Aside from Wilcon Depot, Priority Integration Sector awards were also given to 16 other businesses under subcategories namely: Agri-Based, Aviation, Automotive, Electronics, Energy, Finance, Fisheries, Food & Beverage, Healthcare, ICT, Infrastructure, Logistics, Rubber-Based, Textiles, Tourism and Wood-Based.

The prestigious ASEAN Business Awards is organized by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council to recognize the most outstanding and successful ASEAN companies contributing to ASEAN’s economic growth and prosperity.
