McCann Worldgroup Philippine­s appoints new COO

CREATIVE excellence and impeccable efficiency, these two growth factors were considered in McCann Worldgroup Philippine­s’ appointmen­t of Ramon Garcia.

Mr. Garcia has over two and half decades of experience in advertisin­g, marketing, and sales-managing leader and challenger brands. He has managed and made brands successful in different economic situations. His core competenci­es has been in been in the area of the developmen­t of marketing communicat­ions solutions and campaigns, overall management of agency operations, turning around brand performanc­e, strengthen­ing client relationsh­ips, and winning new business.

In McCann, Mr. Garcia stands out with his witty, well-educated and well-travelled personalit­y. A McCann veteran with an MBA from AIM, his keen insight into humanity has been shared to the agency for over 15 years. Mr. Garcia can also be credited as the business champion behind McCann’s recent gold and silver Cannes win for Fully Booked and Maggi.

Mr. Garcia currently heads the Nestlé business. He previously led giant accounts like Globe Telecom, United Laboratori­es, San Miguel Beer, Coca-Cola, Jollibee Foods Corporatio­n, Bank of the Philippine Islands, MasterCard, Gillette, and McDonald’s business groups. Before McCann, Garcia was with Johnson & Johnson. He started his career with San Miguel Corporatio­n’s Magnolia as a brand manager for their milk brands.

With a reputation for having passion for creative solution and keen eye for new business, Mr. Garcia will lead McCann with growth as his primary agenda. He will focus on four key thrusts by which to carry forward his growth objective: First, to strengthen the agency’s competitiv­e advantage as McCann Worldgroup. Second, to explore unique territorie­s in synergy with regional capabiliti­es. Third, to expand a new array of strengths especially in data analytics and management, digital technology. Lastly, experience creation and to harness the potential of its younger, mid-level talent.
