Wurtzbach shares what’s real with Ultherapy®

-

THE ABUNDANCE of readily available skin-lifting treatments makes it all the more important to be aware of what’s real and what isn’t, and when it comes to authenticity and results, the revolutionary Ultherapy® remains at the helm.

Hear it from our queen, Pia Wurtzbach, who started her #BeYoutifulStory with Ultherapy® in 2018 and has since then undergone the treatment twice. “I’m getting the results I wanted and expected,” said Ms. Wurtzbach. “What I love about it is that it doesn’t change or alter the way I look, rather it enhances the features I already have.”

For starters, Ultherapy® is a US FDA-cleared, non-invasive treatment used to lift and tighten the skin on the brows, chin, and neck areas, and improve the lines on the décolletage. It uses Microfocused Ultrasound with Visualization (MFUV) to kickstart the body’s natural collagen production by targeting the innermost foundational layer of the skin at 4.5mm.

“Ultherapy®’s the only one that uses this kind of technology,” says Dr. Sabrina Fabi, a leader in cosmetic surgery and an official expert on Ultherapy®. “It’s in a microscopic level. It’s more precise so you won’t harm the surrounding cells,” she said.

Most of us might be familiar with High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) treatments but they just aren’t the same. HIFU is a device used to break up the fat which, according to Dr. Fabi, isn’t what you want for the face because it’s fat that actually gives your skin a more youthful look.

“Before having my first ever Ultherapy® treatment, I made sure to do my research — I consulted my trusted derma, Dr. CRB, and checked the authenticity of the machine,” shared Ms.

Wurtzbach. “It’s a step you can’t skip!”

Because of Ultherapy®’s significant results and notable patient satisfaction, there has been a boost in fake machines claiming to give the same results at a cheaper price. “These copycat machines don’t go through rigorous investigations and clinical trials in order to prove their safety and efficacy,” shared Dr. Fabi. “Those taking a risk with these machines are also taking a risk on their skin. They’ll either leave with no change at all or worse, a permanent damage.”

“While some consider it a bit pricey, it’s a self-care investment worth your money. After all, a real Ultherapy® treatment costs less than all the treatments you’ll undergo to correct the scarring done by fake ones.”

Ultherapy® currently has 79 partner clinics across the Philippines, all of which have an Authenticity Plaque and Authenticity Seal.
