Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez said the back to back full-color leaflet or flyer contains information and schedule of the 2024 quarterly RPT payments and the 10 percent discount and no interest perks if tax obligations are paid early this January.

Olivarez said the other side of the leaflet is the daily schedule of 2024 business permit renewal from January to last week of February this year. The renewal schedule is based on the last digit of the business identification number (BIN).

Olivarez also disclosed that the city treasurer’s office is offering tax discount up to ten percent to local taxpayers who will be paying their real property taxes (RPT) for calendar year 2024.

He said the city government would grant a no interest to taxpayers if quarterly payments are made on or before March 31, for the first quarter; on or before June 30, for the second quarter; on or before Sept. 30, for the 3rd quarter; and on or before December 31, for the last quarter.

A 10 percent discount will be given to those who will pay for their quarterly RPT on or before January 1 to 20, for the 1st quarter; on or before April 1 to 20, for the 2nd quarter; on or before July 20, for the 3rd quarter; and on or before Oct. 1 to 20, for the 4th quarter.

Olivarez said residents are assured that their taxes will be properly utilized as it will be used “to further strengthen and expand our delivery of social and health services, build more infrastructure, and implement lined-up plans and programs of my administration this year.”

He advised every taxpayer to take advantage of the said discounts on this tax obligation. But be reminded that only accounts without delinquencies will qualify of the said discounts.

The city government is also offering a 20 percent discount to real property owners who want to pay in advance on or before December 15, this year to their real property tax for the year 2025.

However, Olivarez explained that late settlements of tax dues shall subject the taxpayers to the payment of interest at the rate of 2 percent per month on the unpaid amount or a fraction thereof to a maximum of 72 percent or 36 months until delinquencies have been paid in full.
