Parañaque celebrates 26th cityhood anniversary with various activities
Parañaque City, one of the entertainment hotspots in Metro Manila today, is celebrating its 26th year cityhood anniversary from Feb. 1 to 17 with a host of activities.
Among these activities, the Parañaque Liberation Day Wreath Laying and blessing of Gym Equipment will take place at the Parañaque Veterans Memorial Monument, Barangay San Dionisio on Feb. 4 at 7 a.m.
A Thanksgiving Mass at the City Hall grounds happens on
Feb. 5, followed by the opening of ‘Cooperative Tiangge,’ then a blessing of the newly renovated Council Session Hall at the Legilative Building. Sunduan Dolls Contest and Exhibit and Sunduan Dress Fashion Show will take place at 3 p.m. at Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
On Feb. 7, the ‘Alagang Parañaqueño Universal Health Care Caravan’ will be conducted at the Paranaque Sports Complex, starting at 8 a.m. On Feb. 11, a Coastal Cleanup will be conducted by The Las Piñas–Parañaque Critical Habitat and
Ecotourism Area (Las Piñas–Parañaque Wetland Park) as early as 6 a.m.
Activities on Feb. 12 include Passport on Wheels application and appointments at 88 Square Mall and the State of the City Address 2024 at the City Sports Complex at 4 p.m. The traditional Grand Sunduan activities will be held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral on Feb. 13 at 8 a.m.
On Feb. 15, a Mega Job Fair will be conducted at the City Sports Complex at 8 a.m., followed by the ‘Alagang Parañaque Unboxing the
Primary Healthcare Strategy’ to be held at Aseana City at 10 a.m. A testimonial dinner and the awarding of outstanding city taxpayers will be held at Okada Manila at 5 p.m. Another healthcare caravan will be conducted at Barangay BF Homes on Feb. 16 at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Rivermaya’s “The Reunion” band concert will culminate the cityhood anniversary, to be held at SMDC Festival Grounds, Aseana Ave. on Feb. 17 at 8 p.m.
