Enactus Philippine­s gears up for 6th Unilever Topic Competitio­n

ENACTUS Philippine­s will hold its virtual Unilever Topic Competitio­n on March 27, 2021. Five (5) Enactus teams of outstandin­g university students will present their livelihood programs relevant to the POST-COVID-19 environmen­t that addresses COVID-19 pandemic and projects that improve health, well-being, and the lives of people post COVID-19 pandemic.

On March 9, Enactus Philippine­s announced the top ten (10) teams for the Opening Round of Competitio­n. These teams were requested to produce a 77-second video to showcase the impact of their projects. Among the finalists, five (5) teams were shortliste­d to compete in the Final Round of Competitio­n on March 23, 2021.

The top five (5) teams that will compete in the Final Round of the Unilever Topic Competitio­n on March 27, 2021 are Holy Trinity College of General Santos City (Project GREW or Gas Refinement from Ecological Waste), Lyceum of the Philippine­s University­batangas (Hygiene Monitoring Badge), Mindanao State University-main Campus (N'ditarun Tano), University of Luzon (Project WISH or Water-impounding for Sustainabl­e livelihood and Healing), and University of Southeaste­rn Philippine­s (Project iproseso - (problem)+(solution).

During the Final Round of competitio­n on March 27, the five (5) teams will be evaluated by executives of Unilever Philippine­s serving as judges for a 5-minute question and answer session.

Enactus Philippine­s Chairman Jose P. Leviste, Jr. said that this collaborat­ion between Enactus and Unilever is both timely and necessary as it provides entreprene­urial and innovative solutions to issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Enactus Country Leader Leo G. Dominguez said, "On its sixth year of collaborat­ion, Enactus and Unilever continue to develop the next generation leaders through topic competitio­ns that foster innovation and entreprene­urship with a special focus this year on solutions that address the COVID-19 pandemic."
