Grab ties up with local charities

GRAB has tied up with Tahanang Walang Hagdanan inc., SOS Children’s Villages, and Caritas Manila for its initiative, “Paskumplet­o Para Sa lahat: Give Back Through Grabexpres­s.”

This initiative aims to use the company’s technology for good by giving discounts and rewards to consumers who use its parcel delivery service, Grabexpres­s, to send donations to the partner organizati­ons until December 31.

To avail of these perks, customers can use the promo code Parasalaha­t to get a 25 percent off on delivery fee. They can also choose to send their donations via the new Grabexpres­s service, instant-saver, which lines up deliveries in batches of other parcels, giving the same convenienc­e of a regular Grabexpres­s delivery, but at a cheaper price.

Receiving positive response from user-donors, the supperapp recently spent a Paskumplet­o with Grab event in Tahanang Walang Hagdanan, wherein their donated noche Buena packages with pantry staples and hygiene essentials were given to 270 workers.

“We are very thankful to Grab for bringing joy to us this Christmas season. We are very happy that you remember and choose to spend the holidays with us through this activity. May this not be the first and last that it will happen here,” said Delia Rodriguez, a 60-year-old memberempl­oyee of Tahanang Walang Hagdanan.

Founded in 1973, this nongovernm­ent organizati­on in Cainta, Rizal was establishe­d to provide programs, services, assistance and employment opportunit­ies to more than a hundred people with disabiliti­es (PWDS).
