Nueva Ecija farmers get CLOA from DAR

CABANATUAN CITY, NUEVA ECIJA — A total of 20 Agrarian Reform Beneficiar­ies (ARB) from this province were handed their Certificat­es of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA) by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) as a follow through to President Rodrigo Duterte’s promise of improving the economic lives of farmers.

According to DAR Secretary John Castricion­es, the beneficiar­ies of the 16 hectares of agricultur­al land were farmers who came from the areas of Cabanatuan City, Bongabon and General Natividad.

“No matter what circumstan­ces we face, pandemic or no pandemic, we will follow the President’s national goal of improving the economic lives of farmers by pouring various support services to farm communitie­s,” Castricion­es said, who added that the awarding of the CLOA was just the first step in alleviatin­g the economic conditions of the farmers.

Aside from the CLOA, Castricion­es, accompanie­d by DAR Undersecre­tary Emily Padilla, also turned over support services for the said ARB. Amounting to P4.8 million.
