Nueva Ecija farmers get CLOA from DAR
CABANATUAN CITY, NUEVA ECIJA — A total of 20 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) from this province were handed their Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA) by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) as a follow through to President Rodrigo Duterte’s promise of improving the economic lives of farmers.
According to DAR Secretary John Castriciones, the beneficiaries of the 16 hectares of agricultural land were farmers who came from the areas of Cabanatuan City, Bongabon and General Natividad.
“No matter what circumstances we face, pandemic or no pandemic, we will follow the President’s national goal of improving the economic lives of farmers by pouring various support services to farm communities,” Castriciones said, who added that the awarding of the CLOA was just the first step in alleviating the economic conditions of the farmers.
Aside from the CLOA, Castriciones, accompanied by DAR Undersecretary Emily Padilla, also turned over support services for the said ARB. Amounting to P4.8 million.
