In 2018, Ronnie volunteered to be part of the army to take the Mechanized Infantry Operations Training (MIOT) course so he can expand his knowledgeinaddressingconventionalandexternal threats. Recently, he was the recipient of the MeritoriousAchievementMedal(MAM)andDisaster Relief & Rehabilitation Operation Ribbon (DRRO).

Together with other soldiers, Ronnie visited the locally stranded individuals staying at the Libingan ng mga Bayani and the Philippine Army Gymnasium at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. To keep people entertained while waiting for their flights, Ronnie serenaded them with a song and even gave them a fan afterwards.
Ronnie reportedly landed the lead role of an army officerinthemovieharangbyPalancaaward-winning writer, Njel de Mesa (Respeto). According to him, the movie will have an interesting twist despite being highly inspired by the hit K-drama, Crash Landing on you.
