EXO-SC shows who's the boss in '1 billion Views'

Despite the group’s hiatus, EXO’s subunit EXO-SC (Sehun and Chanyeol) has been dominating iTunes worldwide charts with the debut of their first full album, 1 Billion Views.
Its title track of the same name has a funky and retro vibe that talks about the feeling of liking someone and comparing it to watching a video repeatedly until it reaches one billion views. The lyrics were written by Sehun and Chanyeol themselves, along with the help of Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko, Rhythm Power’s Boi B, Gray and Sole.
After its release on 13 July 6 p.m. KST, 1 Billion Views topped the albums charts in at least 50 countries.
Besides placing number one on Hanteo Chart, Synnara Record and YES24, 1 Billion Views took the top spot of the digital album sales charts on China’s QQ Music and Kugou Music.
In an interview with Gaeko on Monday, Sehun shared that he and Chanyeol have discussed beforehand the stories they wanted to tell through the songs and Gaeko helped in clearing things up during the process.
Sehun added, “The songs contain a lot of sincere stories from Chanyeol and me. I hope you can relate to our sentiments when you listen to them.”
1 Billion Views’ unique choreography became a dance challenge that the duo wanted the viewers, especially EXO-Ls, to try.
Chanyeol and Sehun also made a promise that if their album ranks number one, they would try to do bungee jumping.
Chanyeol said, “I thought I would be confident I can bungee jump but I don’t want to try it again” while Sehun promised, “I’m really bad at bungee jumping but if we win first place, we’ll upload a video of us bungee jumping.”
