Move over DJI Pocket 2 as there’s a new kid on the block to serve the handheld vlogging camera market.

While DJI’s P2 has been king of the hill since its launch last year, Moza’s Moin Camera is a cheaper alternative offering 4K resolution and a gimbal.

Moza is no slouch when it comes to high-tech camera stabilizers and accessories so the Moin Camera should give the DJI P2 a run for its money.

Moin’s stills at 12MP may be so-so, but its 4K video at 60 frames per second (fps) and eight times slow-motion capability at 240 fps opens a lot of creative possibilities.

Just like DJI’s, the Moza uses a three-axis gimbal for cinematic footage for short films and online content creators.

But the Moin is not a knockoff of the Pocket 2 because while the latter has a puny one-inch screen, Moza’s DJI killer has a folding and articulating 2.45-inch screen.

Shutter speeds for the Moin range from 60 seconds to 1/8000th of a second, with an ISO or sensor sensitivity range of 100 to 3200, one stop short of P2’s 100-6400 ISO range.

Transferring content to a phone is a breeze with the Moza Artist app that can transfer content from the camera to a smart device in real-time.

Probably the deal clincher for those out in the market for a handheld vlogging camera is that the Moin Camera may be cheaper by about P2,500 than the DJI P2.

There’s no contest, though, when it comes to stills as the DJI, with its 1/1.7 sensor can do 64MP photos.
