Bagay said the barangay heads are to draw up a list of residents who are unable to go to the vaccination sites because they have been rendered immobile by their illness

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso has ordered all barangay captains to account for their bedridden constituents to allow city health officials to inoculate them with the coronavirus vaccine at their homes.

Mayor Domagoso directed barangay bureau chief Romeo Bagay to facilitate the search through barangay leaders.

In his memo, the mayor said the city aims to embrace all sectors, especially those whose mobility is restricted so that they may also get added protection against Covid-19.

Bagay said the barangay heads are to draw up a list of residents who are unable to go to the vaccination sites because they have been rendered immobile by their illness.

He added those who are interested who have able-bodied guardians may go to their barangay officials and enlist their household members who need to avail of the “home service” vaccination.

The list must contain the names of the guardians or caregivers, complete address, contact number and email address, if any.

This list must then be forwarded to manilahomevaccination@gmail.com within 48 hours after the request had been made by the resident concerned, regardless of age.

Bagay said the mayor has ordered a “strict and prompt” compliance for the submission of the list of bedridden residents.

“The mayor said the submission of names should be fast because Covid also spreads quickly. So, we immediately issued the order to the chairmen so that the ‘home service’ can serve the disabled and prevent contamination in the homes,” the barangay official said.
