After making a twinkill in the Trofeo Bonfiglio in Italy, Alex Eala will stay in Europe to see action in a pair of tournaments against the best junior players in the world.

Eala’s father, Mike, told Daily Tribune that the 16-year-old sensation already flew back to Mallorca in Spain to get a breather before seeing action in the W25 Bydgoszcz in Poland on 2 August and the W25 Koksijde in Belgium on 9 August.

The Filipina scholar at the Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy will march to the back-to-back European tourneys oozing with confidence after ruling the girls’ singles and doubles events of the JA Milan tournament.

“She’s already back in Mallorca, Spain. So they were able to get a flight last night (Sunday) at 8 p.m. to get back to the academy. Then, she will have a three-day break because she had three straight tournaments for three weeks,” Mike said.

“She was already three weeks on the road so she would rest for three days then get back to training maybe on Thursday.”

It’s been a very busy year for the rising star.

Prior to the Milan tourney, the two-time Grand Slam champion played in the J1 Roehampton tournament from 29 June to 4 July before hitting the grass court of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London for the Junior Wimbledon Championships from 5 July to 11 July.

Her father added that once Alex gets her Canadian visa, she will also join the J1 Repentigny in Canada as a tune-up for the Junior U.S Open on 5 September.

“I’m happy and proud with how I played,” said Eala after a masterful win over Nikola Bartunkova of the Czech Republic in the finals of the singles event.
