Hundreds of victims of online investment scams are seeking the help of Senator Bong Go and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for the arrest of the suspects.

The victims told Go and the NBI the suspects took millions from them after they were lured to invest money to Muyan66, an online platform that was hidden in the Tether Guessing platform.

In their letter to Sen. Go, the victims claimed those behind www.muyan66.com, www.pan-city.com and https://www.muyan66.com took their money, which they deposited using an e-wallet.

The suspect apparently convinced the victims to invest their money in exchange of a five percent daily income.

In the first months of 2021, the scammers were depositing the percentage promised to the victims through the e-wallet account, but this stopped on 12 July 2021.

Worse, the website and online platform was shut down along with the Telegram group chat.

The victims tried in vain to locate the people behind the online platform investment to no avail.

According to the victims, the amount taken from them reached about P100 million, prompting them to seek the help of Senator Go and the NBI so the suspects can be located and arrested.

NBI Director Eric Distor immediately acted on the complaint of the victims and directed the bureau’s cybercrime division to go after those behind Muyan 66.

Distor said NBI agents will coordinate with their counterparts in other countries, so they can seek assistance in locating the suspects and eventually pin them down.
