LOVE ENDURES FOR BEN&BEN’S AGNES REOMA AND PAT LASATEN
The couple has been together for seven years
Taking their relationship to the next level, Ben&Ben’s keyboardist Pat Lasaten and lead bassist Agnes Reoma started the new year by announcing their engagement on Instagram.
Reoma and Lasaten shared photos and a video clip on their social media accounts on New Year’s Eve. The video clip showed the marriage proposal inside a car. A photo showed Reoma brandishing a ring on her finger.
Other photos showed the couple enjoying a rainbow cake with the words: “Just got enGAYged! Love, The Titas.” One of the photos showed Lasaten draped in rainbow flag.
“A lot of surprises and blessings happened this 2022 but this is my favorite. Love you forever, Patfly. Patnes nyo engaged na (Your Patnes is now engaged),” Reoma wrote on their post.
She revealed that their engagement happened in July 2022.
Fans and friends expressed happiness and support in their comments.
“Congrats, guys,” wrote musician Nica del Rosario, who have recently married her partner, Justine Peña.
Social media personality Mimiyuuuh gushed, “Labyu kayong dalawa (I love you both).”
Lasaten and Reoma have been a couple since 2014, when they were still college students. The couple starred in the music video of their band, “Paninindigan Kita,” which was released in June 2022 and which shows the struggles of the LGBTQ+ community. It coincided with their seventh anniversary as a couple. Lasaten wrote in an Instagram post: “7 years na kitang pinapanindigan. Kahit sa pagtanda, ako’y sayo (I have been standing up for you for seven years. Even when we get old, I am yours).”
The nine-member Ben&Ben was formed in 2015 and is one of the most popular bands in the country. In 2022, they were among the numerous artists who supported the presidential bid of then Vice President Leni Robredo, and they toured the United States and Canada. They capped the year with a homecoming concert on 18 December 2022, drawing a huge crowd of about 65,000, their largest concert yet.
