Go backs more Super Health Centers
The senator had earlier led the groundbreaking of another super Health Center in Rizal Nueva Ecija
In line with his efforts to improve the country’s health sector, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, has expressed support to the construction of Super Health Centers in Aloran, Bonifacio and Clarin towns in Misamis Occidental which he recently visited to help victims of the flooding in the province.
The said centers shall offer basic medical services, such as database management, outpatient, birthing, isolation, diagnostic (laboratory: X-ray, ultrasound), pharmacy, and ambulatory surgical unit. Other available services are eye, ear, nose and throat service; oncology centers; physical therapy and rehabilitation center; and telemedicine.
Moreover, as Vice Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, Go had earlier supported the rehabilitation of roads in Aloran, Bonifacio, Calamba, Don Victoriano, Jimenez, Sapang Dalaga, Tudela, Sinacban and Ozamiz City; construction of multipurpose buildings in Concepcion, Jimenez, Tudela, Oroquieta City, Ozamiz City and Tangub City; construction of an eco-tourism highway; installation of solar streetlights along provincial roads; and infrastructure development of the DMDTMH.
Following the series of distribution efforts for flood victims in the province,” Go, ho also chairs the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, last Saturday, aided more families affected by the recent flooding from several cities and towns in Misamis Occidental.
Go’s team held the relief operation at the Misamis Occidental Provincial Athletic Grounds in Oroquieta City where they handed out grocery packs to 2,400 flood victims from the cities of Ozamis and Oroquieta; and the towns of Jimenez, Lopez Jaena, Tudela, Aloran, Clarin, Panaon, Sapang Dalaga, Calamba, Don Victoriano, and Baliangao. They also gave away shirts, umbrellas, and balls for basketball to select beneficiaries.

In a video message, Go, expressed his confidence that the government would be able to help more poor and indigent patients, particularly those in rural areas, with the establishment of more Super Health Centers nationwide.
The senator also encouraged those in need of medical assistance to seek the services of the nearest Malasakit Center as he shared that there are now 153 operational Malasakit Centers in the country, including the ones at Doña Maria D. Tan Memorial Hospital in Tangub City and Mayor Hilarion A. Ramiro Sr. Medical Center in Ozamiz City.
A Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop where poor and indigent patients can conveniently avail of medical assistance from government agencies such as the DSWD, Department of Health, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
Go is the principal author and sponsor of the Malasakit Centers Act of 2019.
