The local government of Manila is urging all employees of various establishments in the city to secure the required health and occupational permits from the City Hall.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna on Tuesday stressed that the move is to ensure that all employees in the city will be safe and covered.

She added that aside from personal applications at the City Hall, employees can also use the local government’s online systems to secure the necessary permits.

Lacuna said that health certificates are under the Manila Health Department headed by Dr. Poks Pangan and covers all employees of businesses as a matter of requirement which is renewed on a yearly basis.

Lacuna said employees have to go to the RASAC Covered Court at the corner of Rizal Avenue and Alvarez Street where the city’s public health laboratory is temporarily located.

Employees who wish to secure permits online can download the Go!Manila App or login to www.cityofmanila.ph.

“Activate account using one-time-pin which will be sent to your registered cellphone number. Choose E-Government and click ‘Occupational Permit/Health Certificate,’ fill out the form and choose a slot when you can go to the place where you can complete your application for health certificate and then wait for confirmation via text message,” Lacuna said.

Once confirmed, the lady mayor said that employees have to go to the RASAC Covered Court at the corner of Rizal Avenue and Alvarez Street where the city’s public health laboratory is temporarily located.

After getting an appointment, workers should bring the text from GO!Manila along with one’s own stool sample; use 1x1 size profile picture in the said app and present latest valid ID and drug test from. Online payment is P625 covering the certificate, stool exam and drug test.

Lacuna said that additional lab tests are now being required by the Department of Health, adding that applicants can utilize DoH-accredited x-ray facilities, private clinics or hospitals or in RASAC where private x-ray can also be availed.
