Former CDC board chair reinstated

Pamintuan joined the CDC as chairman of the Board on 11 February 2021 after being appointed by former President Rodrigo Duterte.

CLARK FREEPORT — Clark Developmen­t Corporatio­n president and chief executive officer Atty. Agnes Devanadera on Friday announced that former CDC chairperso­n of the board Atty. Edgardo Pamintuan was reinstated as the agency’s acting chair and Board of Directors member.

This comes as President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Pamintuan’s appointmen­t letter on 11 January.

Devanadera stressed that the reappointm­ent of Pamintuan as chairperso­n of the board is a welcome developmen­t for the Government Owned and Controlled Corporatio­n, adding that it will assure the continuati­on of the CDC’s projects and developmen­t for the Freeport and the corporatio­n.

To recall, Pamintuan joined the CDC as chairman of the Board on 11 February 2021 after being appointed by former President Rodrigo Duterte.

Prior to this, he served as the Mayor of Angeles City from 1992 to 1998 and from 2010 to 2019.

Pamintuan has 27 years of experience in government service. His commitment as a public servant gained him multiple awards including the Order of Lakandula-Grand Cross Rank of Bayani conferred by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on April 2010, the 2018 Presidenti­al Award of Distinctio­n in line with the ASEAN 2017 conferred by the Office of the President, Five-Time Most Outstandin­g Mayor of the Philippine­s (2012 and from 2014 to 2017) from Superbrand­s Marketing Internatio­nal, and the Top 8 among the Ten Mayors of the World, World Mayor Prize 2012 City Mayors Foundation.
