Success story: GSIS’ anti-red tape initiatives
State pension fund Government Service Insurance System has received the highest rating of Silver Award from the Anti-Red Tape Authority, enjoying the highest public approval sector, with the least procrastination behavior among its personnel.
The GSIS has obtained the highest rating of 92.8 percent or “Very Satisfactory” among the 50 government agencies in the ARTA Report Card Survey 2.0.
“We are honored to receive this recognition that affirms our efforts to provide the most responsive customer experience to our members and pensioners. They can rest assure that GSIS will continue to find ways to make its services more convenient, seamless, and maginhawa,” GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso said in a statement over the weekend.
During the 2022 ARTA survey, the GSIS’ head office in Pasay City and the GSIS branch offices in Cebu, General Santos and Palawan were inspected.
In coordination with the Civil Service Commission and the Philippine Statistics Authority, the ARTA-RCS 2.0 is a holistic tool that “measures the effectiveness of the Citizen’s Charter in reducing regulatory burdens and the impact of government programs in delivering efficient government service.”
Moreover, the Citizen’s Charter provides details on the agency’s frontline services, including the step-by-step procedures, showing the requirements, time and fees for clients to get what they need.
In assessing an agency’s performance in service delivery, RCS 2.0 is used to determine if the provisions of the law are followed and to gather feedback through a customer satisfaction measurement survey.
Call to update info
Meanwhile, GSIS is urging its members and pensioners to update their contact information, such as mobile numbers and e-mail addresses, in their GSIS records.
“We appeal to all our members and pensioners to apprise GSIS of their new contact details to enable us to send information about our latest programs, update them on their claims and prevent the sending of information to the wrong recipient,” Veloso said.
Active members may update their contact details through their agency-authorized officer.
“We request the help of our partner Agency Authorized Officers and electronic remittance file handlers to facilitate the timely submission of member’s request forms so we can make the necessary changes,” Veloso added.
They can rest assure that GSIS will continue to find ways to make its services more convenient, seamless, and maginhawa.
