long-term celebrity couple Jessy mendiola and luis manzano are finally having a church wedding following their intimate civil wedding in 2021.

mendiola confirmed the good news during a health and wellness event in mandaluyong on 3 February.

“We’re not really hiding it naman. Finally, matutuloy na rin ‘yung church wedding namin (Our church wedding will finally happen),” the actress said, adding that the upcoming church wedding will be her “dream wedding.”

“Finally, makakauwi na rin ‘yung family ko (my family can come home),” she added. “‘cause when we did our civil wedding noong 2021, wala pa ‘yung family ko noon (they weren’t here yet).”

mendiola and manzano officialy started dating in 2016.

manzano shared in an instagram post during their second wedding anniversary that he invited Jessy to his 35th birthday back in 2016, which was the “best decision” of his life since it was the beginning of a beautiful journey with mendiola.

in February 2021, the celebrity couple got married in an intimate civil wedding ceremony officiated by lipa city mayor eric Africa. the civil wedding took place only two months after the couple confirmed on social media that they were engaged.

With the upcoming church rites, mendiola shared how excited she is for their daughter, rosie, to become one of their little bridesmaids for the wedding.

rosie, fondly called “Peanut,” celebrated her first birthday last December 2023.

“little bride siya, nae-excite ako super,” mendiola said. “And naglalakad na siya, sana lang makayanan niyang maglakad sa aisle (She’s walking now, i just hope she can walk all the way down the aisle).”

For their “dream wedding,” the 31-yearold actress mentioned that it would still be an intimate affair.

“it’s an intimate wedding again... this time kasi, si luis nga sweet eh, sabi niya i want you to have the wedding of your dreams, with your family and with the lord.”
