University of Perpetual Help System Dalta shoots for a twice-to-beat incentive when it battles San Sebastian College in the final day of eliminatio­ns of the National Collegiate Athletic Associatio­n Season 99 juniors basketball tournament today at the Filoil EcoOil Center in San Juan.

Game time is set at 8 a.m. with the Junior Altas looking for a win that will give them an advantage heading into the Final Four.

Also seeking better positions in the semifinals are Letran College, which battles La Salle Green Hills at 2:30 p.m., and Mapua University, which collides with San Beda University at 12 p.m.

Meanwhile, also-ran squads Jose Rizal University and Emilio Aguinaldo College clash at 10 a.m. while Lyceum of the Philippine­s University and Arellano University tangle at 4:30 p.m.

Perpetual is toting a league-best 7-1 card to enter the Final Four for the first time since 2010 under head coach Tonichi Pujante with Gelo Alolino, Joseph Ariobu and Chester Saldua as players.

Against the dangerous Stags, who are fashioning a 6-2 card, Perpetual coach Joph Cleopas is tipped to pin his hopes on Most Valuable Player frontrunne­r Amiel Acido, Mark Gojo Cruz, JD Pagulayan, Lebron Daep, Icee Callangan and Regie Ayon with backcourt support from Aries Borja, Jamal Cruz, Kelsey Baldoria, Arzell Asuncion Wayne Valencia, RJ Bernaldez, Jan Roluna and Jericho Cristino.

Acido, in fact, was impressive in their previous 94-88 win over Letran in which he dropped 27 points, eight rebounds and two assists for the team that is being managed by Anton Tamayo.
