More Francis Magalona memorabilia offered to Pinoy Pawnstars
Abegail Rait explained that Magalona’s love for photography led him to becoming a member of the Camera Club of the Philippines. She added that some of the photos he offered to Boss Toyo were taken during a trip she had taken with Francis.
Abegail Rait and her daughter Francesca visited anew Pinoy Pawnstars five months after offering some pieces of memorabilia left behind to them by Francis Magalona. The woman who claimed the teenaged girl is the result of her relationship with the late rap icon this time offered a few photos, which she said had been taken by Magalona, to Boss Toyo, who runs the Filipino version of History Channel’s Pawn Stars.
In a vlog uploaded on YouTube by Boss Toyo Production last Wednesday, 20 March, Abegail and Francesca’s arrival at the store surprised and delighted Boss Toyo and his wife Jhoy Maldo.
“May nagbabalik, baka ma-issue na naman tayo nito!
(Somebody’s coming back. We may get into an issue again)!” Jhoy laughingly said.
Francesca then laid out six photographs that she and her mother said were taken by Francis Magalona.
Abegail then explained that Magalona’s love for photography led him to becoming a member of the Camera Club of the Philippines. She added that some of the photos he offered to Boss Toyo were taken during a trip she had taken with Francis. Some of the photos that Abegail brought were taken in Pampanga, Cebu and Vietnam, along with snaps of a church and falls that she was unable to give the details.
When Abegail was asked by the Pawn Stars owner about the meaning of the signature on the photos, “Ano Lagam,” she responded that it was an anagram of the Master Rapper’s surname.
After a few moments, the mother-and-daughter duo offered to sell the photographs at P100,000 each to Boss Toyo, totaling P600,000. Abegail then informed Boss Toyo that she was not selling those photographs for profit, but as donation to the YouTuber’s planned museum.
“Gusto namin kasi i-share sa pamamagitan mo ulit itong memorabilia na ito at s’yempre looking forward sa tinatayo mong
museum to commemorate [Francis Magalona] (We want to share, through you again, these memorabilia and of course, we’re looking forward to the completion of your museum),” she said. Abegail and Francesca became trending topics on social media in October 2023 when they asserted to be recognized as part of Francis’ legacy.
