In the Filipino language, it means three things. First, generally as an everyday term “to mix.” Second, gastronomically, it’s a popular shaved or crushed ice dessert filled with sweet beans, coconut, jelly etc. Lastly, in the world of fashion and design, it’s an immortalized, iconic and distinct brand that has created a cult following.

Part of the pop-up is the Halohalobar which offers drinks that remind you of your childhood.

Halohalo’s art of putting things together has created a refreshing world of originality. Their origins are deeply rooted in craft (banig) and nostalgia (heritage) where they brilliantly create, recreate, rethink and redesign the old-made-new in bags, home, decor, clothing and now lifestyle. Thriving in uniqueness, their brilliance in creativity aside from design is in using unlikely material combinations to create a range of cool products. Weaving the contemporary lifestyle, they have created the Halohalo world which consists of three brands: Halohalohome, Halohalobags and GoodTimes.

Recently, the Halohalo store opened at the R2 Level, Power Plant Mall in Rockwell Center in Makati City. The store takes you back in time, channeling and giving you a feel of Old Manila. Memories come alive in this new haven of chic nostalgia. Accentuated by details reminiscent of an ancestral house, the space blends modernity with a style statement of past and present.

Part of the pop-up store is the Halohalobar which offers drinks that remind you of your childhood. From the street sensation iskrambol (ice scramble) to the iconic halohalo dessert-inspired cool, it’s a sweet moment down memory lane. They offer a special menu of “Pampalamig” for refreshing coolers, “Pampainit” for comforting warmers and “Pampatunaw” for that taste of indulgence — all crafted in collaboration with Pickup Coffee.
