KarlTzy: Show me the money

Though, of course, gaming is my passion so that is money

Two-time Mobile Legends: Bang Bang world champion Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno is determined to make it to the highly-anticipated Mid Season Cup 2024 later this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Touted by many as the Greatest of All Time in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competitive history, KarlTzy had won every major tournament of the title except the MSC — previously the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup. What used to be the battleground of the top Mobile Legends teams in Southeast Asia, Moonton Games upped the stakes and rebranded the tournament not only by changing its name but also by adding more countries and regions to its pool.

The upcoming edition of MSC boasts the highest prize pool in Mobile Legends competitive history with a staggering prize pool of $3 million. However, only the top two squads of MPL Season 13 will qualify for the tournament.

In his previous statements, KarlTzy admitted that one of his motivations in competitive play is money. Should he qualify in the MSC and win the title, it will easily be his biggest payday.

“Yes,” KarlTzy answered when asked if money is his motivation for winning the Mobile Legends Professional League PH Season 13.

“Though, of course, gaming is my passion so that is money. MSC is different now and when I saw AP Bren playing in Russia (Games of the Future 2024), I got envy.”

ECHO ended its run at third place in MPL PH Season 12, failing to defend its then MPL PH title, and worse, the team was unable to qualify for the M5 World Championship.

Currently playing in the ongoing season with the same squad from season 12 without one coach, KarlTzy is taking the setbacks in stride and is laser-focused on accomplishing his goal.

“We lacked last season and we all know that so we are even more eager now. We just have to reset, it already happened,” KarlTzy said.
