Woman’s body found under Manila bridge
An elderly woman was found lifeless under a bridge in San Miguel, Manila Thursday afternoon. SPO1 Bernardo Cayabyab, case investigator, identified the fatality as a certain “Melba.”
He said that Melba was about 60 years old, clad in black sleeveless shirt and denim pants.
Investigation showed that at about 12 p.m., children playing under Ayala Bridge in San Miguel, Manila discovered the body.
The children, according to Cayabyab, immediately informed the police of their discovery.
A barangay official said that Melba was a mendicant and was always seen collecting recyclable materials around the area.
Cayabyab said no signs of physical injury was seen on the woman’s body.
