Seda Vertis North set to meet strong demand for rooms in Quezon City

-

A vibrant mix of business travelers catering to dynamic growth industries, tourists, balikbayans, and local residents are expected to fill Seda Vertis North’s 438 guest rooms and function rooms when it opens in April this year in the Vertis North mixed-use development of Ayala Land in Quezon City.

The sixth property bearing the Seda brand by Ayala Land Hotels and Resorts will be the biggest in Quezon City, where demand for hotel properties catering to business and leisure travelers has dramatically risen, according to a 2016 fourth quarter report by Colliers, a leading global real estate company. The same demand has also been experienced by other fringe areas in the metropolis.

Seda Vertis North will be one of the centerpieces of this dynamic Ayala Land mixed-use community envisioned to be the premier business district of Quezon City. It will include a mall, offices and a proposed casino and is highly likely to capture Northern Quezon City and Central Luzon residents. The hotel will also likely benefit from increased international flight frequencies in Clark airport as well as improved access upon the completion of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) 7.

Seda Vertis North will be the first large format hotel of the home-grown chain owned and operated by AyalaLand Hotels and Resorts. In a recent briefing, Seda officials disclosed that Seda Vertis North will be a departure from its usual city hotels which are no larger than 200 rooms. The new hotel’s size and premium amenities area response to the warm market reception of Seda, the first wholly-Filipino owned hotel brand catering to global travelers in underserved areas of the country.

Seda Vertis North will also have meeting rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 700 guests. Moreover, it will have an all-day dining facility with show kitchen and live cooking stations offering international specialties, a Chinese restaurant and a roof deck bar that will offer rare glimpses of the Quezon City skyline. Straight Up bar is named after the BGC property’s successful roofdeck bar famous for its well curated music and appetizer buffets.

Other Seda hotels in the country are found in BGC, where a second tower will be added tothe flagship property; and also in Cagayan De Oro, Davao City, Nuvali in Laguna and Iloilo City. All the hotels, including Seda Atria in Iloilo which is less than two years, met their targets in 2016.More Seda hotels in seven locations are set to open by 2019.

All Seda hotels are found in Ayala Land mixed-use communities and offer easy access to a wide range of dining and retail options. They also focus on the needs of business and leisure travelers to the Philippines including comfortable rooms built around a bed that promises a restful sleep, an efficient work station with free wifi access, and a feature associated with Seda, a charging station that can accommodate a number of gadgets and devices.

The hotel chain’s high guest return rate pegged at 42 percent in 2016 is largely the result of the professionalism and high service standards of Seda frontliners. At the end of the day, it is the people that contribute the most to a memorable guest experience, Seda officials believe.
