Ex-Army general now heads MMDA
Newly-appointed Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman, retired Brig. Gen. Danilo Lim, is more than capable to lead the agency responsible for traffic management, solid-waste, urban planning, health, public safety, environment protection, and flood control. MMDA General Manager Tim Orbos, who stepped down as officer-in-charge (OIC) of the MMDA, said Lim’s experience is more than enough to serve as head of the agency. At yesterday’s flagraising rites, Orbos urged employees to cooperate with the incoming chairman and show him how the agency has fared over the last nine months. (Anna Liza Villas-Alavaren)
