Salangsang in derby win

Joey Salangsang of General Santos City, a local endorser of Team LDI (Lakpue Drug, Inc.), topped the 200plus entry “World Pitmasters 9-Cock International Derby” (Fiesta edition) last Saturday at the Resorts World Manila.

Salangsang’s entry, Polomolok Sports Complex which he fielded with Eric dela Rosa, Mayor Ed Lumayag and Larry Rubinos, tallied eight wins and one loss to win the crown.

Sharing the limelight were Jojo Cruz of Bulacan and Hermin Teves of Negros Oriental.

‘Polomolok’ racked up four straight win in the elims and semis, lost its fifth fight, before winning four more wins in the finals to wrest the title.

Last May 7, LDI national endorser Renato Lacson ruled the “Mandaue Fiesta Big Event 6-Cock Derby” with 56 entries.
