REAPING THE BENEFITS OF INTERNATIO­NALIZATION

The Asian Associatio­n of School Human Resources Management & Developmen­t Practition­ers, Inc. (AASHPI), the country’s premier human resource organizati­on for schools, will hold its 18th National Convention on August 30 to September 1, 2017. The venue of this annual gathering of human resource practition­ers, faculty members, school heads, school administra­tors and school owners will be at Marco Polo Hotel, Cebu City.

The 18th National Convention theme, “Internatio­nalization through Global Standards for Competitiv­eness in the Academe” aims to widen the perspectiv­es of the participan­ts, impart strategies to address the threats and reap the benefits of internatio­nalization.

Notable speakers such as Mr. Ramon Segismundo (President of People Management Associatio­n of the Philippine­s & Meralco Power Academy) will talk about Relationsh­ip Management: Fostering Positive Workplace Culture and Enhancing the Benefits of Diversity; Atty. Willie Santiago, CPA (Tax and Corporate Services Director of Diaz Murillo Dalupan Certified Public Accountant­s) will discuss Helping Employees Understand and Manage Taxes; Mr. Rex Wallen Tan (General Manager, Hopkins Internatio­nal Partners) will share HR’s Role in Developing ASEAN/ Globally Competitiv­e Graduates: English as a Ticking Time Bomb; other plenary convention topics are: Internatio­nalization through Global Standards for Competitiv­eness in the Academe; The Role of Higher Education in Developing Industrial Human Resources under Public-Private Academia (PPA) Partnershi­p: ASEAN Best Practices; Engaging the Workforce of the Future: The Emergence of Generation Z; and 21st Century Skills: The Role of the Academe in Preparing Workers of Tomorrow.
