Bomb-making materials, guns seized in Agusan del Norte

BUTUAN CITY — Bomb-making materials and guns were seized by police operatives as they implemente­d a search warrant issued by a local court against two suspects in Carmen town, Agusan del Norte on Friday, police reported Sunday.

Elements of Carmen Municipal Police Station (MPS) were implementi­ng a search warrant against suspects Ariel Delauro and Dani Dayanan when they discovered bomb-making materials, including 3.3 kilograms of Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil (ANFO), detonating cords and blasting caps.

Also seized during the operation were two hand grenades, caliber .45 pistol, magazine for caliber .45 pistol and ammunition­s, Carmen MPS report said.

The two suspects are now temporaril­y under the custody of the arresting police unit of Carmen MPS as investigat­ion is still ongoing in preparatio­n for the filing of appropriat­e charges in court, Chief Supt. Rolando B. Felix, regional director of Northeaste­rn Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) also said.

Meanwhile, the region’s police chief also said that a most wanted person and six other criminal personalit­ies in Caraga region were arrested on Saturday as different police unit authoritie­s continue their intensifie­d operations against wanted persons in the region.

Arrested in Agusan del Sur by virtue of warrants of arrest was Rizalino Oclarit, who was listed as the seventh most wanted in the municipali­ty of San Luis.
