Bomb-making materials, guns seized in Agusan del Norte
BUTUAN CITY — Bomb-making materials and guns were seized by police operatives as they implemented a search warrant issued by a local court against two suspects in Carmen town, Agusan del Norte on Friday, police reported Sunday.
Elements of Carmen Municipal Police Station (MPS) were implementing a search warrant against suspects Ariel Delauro and Dani Dayanan when they discovered bomb-making materials, including 3.3 kilograms of Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil (ANFO), detonating cords and blasting caps.
Also seized during the operation were two hand grenades, caliber .45 pistol, magazine for caliber .45 pistol and ammunitions, Carmen MPS report said.
The two suspects are now temporarily under the custody of the arresting police unit of Carmen MPS as investigation is still ongoing in preparation for the filing of appropriate charges in court, Chief Supt. Rolando B. Felix, regional director of Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) also said.
Meanwhile, the region’s police chief also said that a most wanted person and six other criminal personalities in Caraga region were arrested on Saturday as different police unit authorities continue their intensified operations against wanted persons in the region.
Arrested in Agusan del Sur by virtue of warrants of arrest was Rizalino Oclarit, who was listed as the seventh most wanted in the municipality of San Luis.
