FFCCCII DONATES SCHOOLS FOR MARAWI THRU GMA KAPUSO FOUNDATION

GMA Network, Inc. led by its chairman and chief executive officer Atty. Felipe Gozon (8th from left) and leaders of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII) led by its president Domingo Yap recently announced that FFCCCII shall partner with the GMA Kapuso Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the publicly-listed GMA Network, Inc., in donating five public school buildings to Marawi City.

Atty. Gozon hailed the hard work, business acumen, and tradition of philanthropy of the ethnic Chinese minority in the Philippines, similar to other dynamic ethnic Chinese entrepreneurs all over the Asia Pacific region from San Francisco City to other parts of Asia. He cited the FFCCCII for its many charities and for partnering with GMA Kapuso Foundation in helping Marawi City.

FFCCCII president Domingo Yap said that apart from FFCCCII’s donation of five public school buildings for Marawi City through the GMA Kapuso Foundation, it also gave 1100,000 cash for each of the 101 government soldiers and police killed in the Marawi conflict “as expression of our support, respect and solidarity.” In December 2016, FFCCCII donated 15 public school buildings to Sulu province in response to President Duterte’s call to assist that region. FFCCCII is also donating drug rehabilitation centers all over Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
