The Lady Bulldogs are looking to sink their teeth on what the Lady Tamaraws are brandishing with their horns.

Defending champion National University seeks a share of the lead when it tangles with San Sebastian today in the women’s division of the Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference at The Arena in San Juan City.

The Lady Bulldogs eye their second straight win in their 6:30 p.m. confrontation with the Lady Stags to tie with the Far Eastern University Lady Tams at the helm of Group A.

The Lady Stags, for their part, hope to follow up their 25-23, 25-22, 2521 win over the Jose Rizal University Lady Bombers to improve on their 1-1 win-loss card.

Boasting of a slew of talented spikers, NU is expected to flaunt its vicious attacks with national team member Jaja Santiago leading the charge.

The 6-foot-5 middle blocker and opposite spiker can torch the net with her quick attacks and solid blocks.

The Lady Bulldogs also have Jorelle Singh to provide ample offensive support and versatile setter Jasmine Nabor, who stuns her rivals with her ability to deliver variety of plays and surprise kills.

San Sebastian, however, is not without weapons.

In their first season without top hitter Grethcel Soltones, who already exhausted her playing years, the Lady Stags know they must double their efforts to improve their fifth-place finish last year.

Joyce Sta. Rita, Nikka Dalisay, and Daurene Santos will join forces anew for San Sebastian after their combined 40 points in their victory over JRU.

Meanwhile, University of the Philippines and Technological Institute of the Philippines aim for their respective first wins when they collide at 4 p.m.
