When the parents of a missing teenager found their son in a morgue in Bulacan, their world fell apart as their dreams for him were crushed.

Michael Angelo Remecio, 16, a tricycle driver, who dreamed of becoming a police officer, went missing after he left their house in Barangay 176, Caloocan City around 9 p.m. on August 26.

“He said that he will drive his tricycle to earn some money but he never came back,” Genevie Remecio, Michael’s mother told the Manila Bulletin in Filipino.

Genevie and her husband Dinisio, went to a morgue in Bulacan after they heard that a decomposing body of a male was found in a stream along Evergreen Subdivision, Barangay Gayagaya, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan the other day.

Supt. Fitz Macariola, chief of the San Jose del Monte police, said garbage collectors found the decomposing body placed in a sack.

Genevie and Dionisio positively identified that the decomposing remains was their missing son.

Investigators said that the victim was possibly killed and dumped somewhere and carried downstream by the water current.

Police already conducted an autopsy and DNA test.

Meanwhile, the parents of Michael want to attain justice for the death of their son.

“We want justice for Michael. We had a lot of dreams for our son,” Genevie said in the vernacular..

The teenager’s family and friends said they cannot establish a possible motive for the killing. They added that Michael is not into illegal drugs.

Genevie even insists that his son has no vices other than smoking and drinking alcohol.

“Galit din po siya sa mga droga na iyan,” Genevie told this reporter.

According to his mom, Michael stopped schooling after being bullied by members of fraternities.

“Mabait po siyang tao. Namasada po siya ng tricycle para makatulong sa amin (He was a good man. He worked as a tricycle driver to helps us),” Genevie told the Manila Bulletin.

Genevie confirmed to this reporter that they will bring home the alleged body of his son later yesterday (Sept. 15).

The family is now asking for help to finance the funeral wake and burial of Michael.
