Manila-Clark P2P bus route launched

The premium Point-to-Point (P2P) bus service yesterday launched its ferrying passengers from Ninoy Aquino Internatio­nal Airport (NAIA) to Clark Internatio­nal Airport Pampanga and vice versa route.

Trips from Clark to NAIA and Clark to Resorts World cost 1350 while the trip from Clark to Robinsons’ Galleria Ortigas in Pasig City costs 1300.

Passengers from Clark to the North Edsa/Trinoma area in Quezon City will be charged 1250.

The Department of Transporta­tion (DOTr) said that first trip is at 4a.m. while the last trip is at 9 p.m.

The Clark-NAIA route will have stopovers at Robinson’s Galleria and Resorts World Manila where the commuters may alight or be picked up.

Genesis Transport Service, Inc., which won the bidding for the route, said 10 buses were deployed yesterday, and is expected to increase to 48 next year.

Each bus can accommodat­e 50 pas- sengers and is equipped with a CCTV, a GPS tracker, Wi-Fi, charging stations for mobile gadgets and other safety features.

DOTr Undersecre­tary Tim Orbos said six more routes will be launched this year.

These amenities will provide the passengers with a safer and more comfortabl­e travel from Pampanga to Manila.

DOTr Secretary Arthur Tugade said the P2P bus service is a project that is expected to improve travel in the country.

Also DOTr Undersecre­tary Tim Orbos said six more routes namely Clark to Lubao in Pampanga; Dagupan in Pangasinan; Subic in Zambales; Malolos in Bulacan, Tarlac and San Jose in Nueva Ecija will be launched this year.
