Abucay farmers get dairy buffaloes
ABUCAY, Bataan — Selected but qualified farmers in this town were the first recipients of 10 dairy buffaloes distributed last Friday. This was revealed yesterday by Dr. Albert Venturina, provincial veterinary, who said that the dairy buffaloes came from the Philippine Carabao Center, an agency under the Department of Agriculture (DA). He said there were nine female and one male buffaloes distributed to the farmers in Abucay. Venturina said 11 towns of the province will receive 10 buffaloes each, so with the capital city of Balanga. The distribution of the buffaloes came after Governor Abet S. Garcia endorsed the program to DA Secretary Manny Piñol who immediately approved it for the province of Bataan.
